GRIFFIXIT started in 2024. The company I was working for suddenly restructured … I found out that my position would be eliminated within the next month. Now what!? I began looking for jobs similar to what I have always done. But something kept pulling at me, telling me to pursue my true passion … fixing things, designing and creating solutions, and interacting with people! So I decided to turn my affection into a business!

Who is GRIFFIXIT?

My name is Aaron Griffin. I’m a family man with an amazing wife, 3 beautiful daughters, 2 terrific son-in-laws, and a newborn grandson! I am also an Engineer with over 27 years in manufacturing … holding various engineering and leadership positions. Throughout that time, I’ve developed key skills that directly apply to GRIFFIXIT … problem solving using out-of-the-box creative thinking, detail-oriented systematic approach to tasks/projects, continuous improvement, top-notch communication, and respect for people!

I also have over 14 years of carpentry, remodeling, construction, and home maintenance experience. I started out as a carpenter’s helper all the way back in high school each summer. Since then, I’ve successfully remodeled two homes and assisted a friend in flipping two houses. My latest endeavor has been self-building my family’s forever home over the past 3 years. While providing over 95% of the labor by myself, I have successfully built our home from scratch on our vacant land. This included land clearing, septic system installation, full house electrical, full house plumbing and piping, in-floor hydronic heating system, concrete floor and porch, all insulation, vinyl plank flooring installation, all interior finishing, pole barn garage, etc.

During my house build and past home ownership time, I have had to reach out to a couple contractors along the way. My overall interactions with most of them were somewhat disappointing (just to give credit where credit is due, a couple were awesome) … this was due to poor communication, showing up late (or not at all), being disrespectful, leaving trash and building materials behind, and doing poor quality of work. I will strive to do the exact opposite of all those concerns. I will bring next-level professionalism, integrity and quality to your site!!
